How it works: 50 families (one from each state) will swap postcards over the next year. Each state will have their own week and will send out 49 postcards, one to each state, during that week. We will go in alphabetical order of the states. At the end of 50 weeks we will all have received a postcard from 49 other states!
To join: Check the lists below to see if there is an opening for your state, then send me an email me at adventuresandpursuits (at) gmail (dot) com.
Postcards: Please send state themed postcards and include 1 or 2 state facts in the message area. Postage to send 50 postcards is $14.
Swap Groups: There are three FOUR separate swap groups each needing 50 families. The following lists show which states each group still needs. I will update these lists as spots are filled.

My son would love to do this if you end up needing another Indiana. He's only 4 but loves Geography. He's done his United States puzzle about a thousand times and will sit and look at our globe and type the names of countries into Google to find pictures of them. And of course, like all kids, he loves to get mail. Please consider adding more groups! : )

We were so disappointed to only get 5 postcards back. Is that about the average you have gotten? Why would someone sign up for this and then just not follow through? I can't imagine disappointing kids like that. Should I try another batch?

The swap is supposed to take almost a full year to complete. You should be receiving one postcard a week for 50 weeks. If you will check the mailing list I sent you it includes a schedule of when each state should be mailing their postcards. So don't worry! Your postcards will come!

I saw group 2 needs a Kentucky...I'm across the river in Ohio, but I'd be happy to purchase Kentucky postcards. I'd also be happy to be West Virginia in Group 3 since we're going home tomorrow. (I'm from West Virginia.)
